Brass is a highly acclaimed economic game that has been recognized as the top mobile board game of 2015 by Board Game Geek and Board Game Quest. It has also been awarded in 2007, 2008, and 2010, solidifying its status as a top 10 strategy game.

In Brass, players take on the roles of aspiring entrepreneurs during the Industrial Revolution, aiming to build successful economic engines in order to maximize their profits in various industries. This demanding game revolves around money and monopolies, challenging players to outperform their opponents in building and developing industries.

Success in Brass hinges on building key industries such as Cotton Mills, Coal and Iron sales, Ports, and Shipyards. Canals and later rails must also be constructed to connect towns and cities, allowing players to benefit from all the industries in the country, even those built by their competitors.

R&D plays a crucial role as well. The more developed industries a player has, the more effective they become. Neglected development by opponents can provide an easier path to victory for astute entrepreneurs.

The game's emphasis on trade is reflected in the local term for money known as "brass." It's not what you produce but what you sell that matters. Keeping a close eye on the markets and selling at the right time is essential to success.

To win, players must utilize their produced supplies, activate industries, upgrade rails, and save money. The most effective entrepreneur emerges as the winner.
